Go Jingling through the Crescent City
Celebrate the magic of Christmas in New Orleans on this festive holiday city tour! Travel through the historic French Quarter as you pass iconic landmarks including Jackson Square, home to the Cabildo and Presbytère Museums, and the magnificent St. Louis Cathedral while your guide shares the city’s rich history, unique culture, and holiday traditions.
Journey through the historic neighborhoods of Tremé and Faubourg Marigny, then travel along beautiful Esplanade Avenue to St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, where you’ll learn about New Orleans’ famous above-ground burial traditions. (Please note: The cemetery is closed on Christmas Day. Your guide will provide an overview from outside the gates.)
Hear stories of voodoo, piracy, and the legendary Jean Lafitte as you travel along Bayou St. John before making your way to the shores of Lake Pontchartrain to see the world’s longest continuous bridge over water. You’ll also pass the historic New Basin Canal Lighthouse, rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina.
